The art nouveau villa in Prague Vinohrady area has undergone a generous and sensitive reconstruction. Set in to a steep sloping plot, the solution here was to design several terraces connected by comfortable pathways on both sides of the house. The main active part of the garden is placed on the top level of the garden with the best view of the city. This naturally became the spot for the terrace with a pool, a hot tub, and a gazebo. The western pathway around the house has been designed as a passage through lush shadow-oriented foliage. Yet for the sunny southern slope below the villa we planned a delicately wild Provence-style greenery. The smaller terrace in the center of the lot is east-oriented and holds a minimalist design water feature with fish, so that the owners can enjoy sunrise with the background sound of falling water.
